The Painting Co. is a division of The Building Co. and was formed in late 2015 to initially provide in-house painting services on The Building Co projects. We now also complete projects for private clients and other builders.

Darren and Kendal began working together in 2008, together they grew their professional relationship and client base and in 2015 began The Painting Co as a sister company to The Building Co. Since then Darren’s workforce is constantly growing as his thirty plus years in the industry and top workmanship is apparent in the quality of his finished projects. Darren is a loving father of two, but when he is not spending time with his children he is a keen biker and can often be spotted roaming the roads of Auckland on his Harley Davidson.
Ramona joined The Painting Co in 2018 and brought with her an array of qualifications, experience, awards, and the passion for painting to suit. After completing her Master Tradesman Degree in Munich, Germany she has gained her experience in both residential and commercial painting, plastering, wallpapering, and varnishing. Ramona has won various awards in Germany, including Best of the Year Award for Master Tradesman of Munich & Upper Bavaria and Bavarian State Government Master’s Award for Excellent Achievements in the final master tradesman examination. Ramona’s desire for sea and sun and a new challenge of a second language brought her to New Zealand where she has fallen in love with the country and now calls it home. Her eye for detail and creative flair always results in happy Painting Co clients. In her spare time she enjoys bouldering, slacklining and surfing and to relax, yoga and cooking.
Justin has been mastering the art of painting for over 12 years and is a professional in his own right. Justin has his level 4 qualification in painting and decorating and this is demonstrated through both knowledge and the execution of jobs. Justin exceeds industry practices and standards and has coined the phrase "If its worth doing right its worth having Justin do it". Justin's jobs speak volumes to his abilities when it comes to fine finishes and the efficiency in running jobs. While Justin is dedicated to painting and decorating, when he has his weekends you can find him elbow deep in oil working on cars and bikes. He also enjoys spending time with family.
Jenni moved to New Zealand from Lower Saxony in Germany to join the Painting Co. in June 2019. Since completing her apprenticeship in 2017, Jenni went on to graduate with a Master Tradesman Degree in Fulda, Germany. During her studies, Jenni learned specialised painting techniques including the restoration of historical buildings and other special effects painting. During her time at the Painting Co. she has built up an array of skills in painting, varnishing and wallpapering across a wide array of residential projects. Eveyday Jenni brings an enthusiastic and hardworking attitude into the workplace, seeking to complete each job in a timely and thorough manner. Outside of work she is a keen fisher and loves to travel to gain unique experiences and visit new cultures.
